Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

The claim process is extremely long! It took 2 months to get an explanation back. They always denied the claim because of varies reason. Don’t even try to submit any claim because it will be denied. Worse insurance ever.

My senior cat was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in December 2024. Eight months later, Pets Best continues to reimburse 80% of vet costs for her monthly injections that help manage her pain. I'm grateful to the folks at Pets Best for helping make this new treatment accessible to us!

I have been a client of Pets Best since 2019. We had adopted a Great Pyrenees from a kill shelter down South and had him transported locally. We have been very fortunate to have adopted a great dog...it clearly could have gone the other way. From the beginning we investigated various pet insurers and had narrowed it down to Truepanion (also a good firm) and Pets Best. That said, we felt that Pets Best had the most comprehensive coverage at competitive prices. Unfortunately, there weren't many reviews at the time, and we wound up taking a chance that Pets Best would live up to their promises. Well, I have to say that we clearly made the right choice. "Archer" needed to undergo MPL surgery this year and we were hit with a bill close to $6k. I submitted the expenses and within 2-weeks had the reimbursement (less the copay) deposited directly in our account. This insurance more than paid for itself by providing both peace of mind and outstanding coverage. I've never had an issue with claim denial (even with smaller bills) and their customer service is top-notch. If you are seriously considering pet insurance, my advice is take it but go with a company you can trust. I would highly recommend Pets Best and would encourage anyone to research them. I noticed that there have been some negative reviews posted, and maybe there have been some situations with others that were less fortunate with their experience. However, I can say first hand, we have had nothing but positive experiences during our 6-year arrangement with them, and I have no reservations about renewing our policy year over year!
