Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

My wife and I have had dogs as long as we’ve been married. We’ve been through life with puppies to old dogs and we have some idea as to possible medical costs. When we adopted our new dogs, we decided that insurance would be a good idea. So, within days of adopting our dogs, they were covered. They’ve had their first wellness visits and we’ve received our reimbursement for vet expenses. We fully expect the wellness plan to pay for itself and we have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that future emergency or geriatric care will be covered as well. It’s really a good feeling.

My dog Allie tripped while running and had to get ACL surgery, it was almost completely covered by pets best and all I had to do was send the bill to them and the money was deposited into my bank account a couple weeks later! I did a lot of research before choosing pets best and it was a great decision!

ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER and WRONG INFORMATION PUT IN COMPUTER ON CLAIMS!!!! ALSO VERY SLOW CLAIMS. BAD BUSINESS!!!! I submitted a Claim for my Pup's Ear Infection for 8/26/21 it was miss-labled as behavior, and took forever to process, was told then it takes 45 days, at about the end of that time period, an E-mail came on a Monday Morning that you needed proof of payment, I immediately called my Veterinarian and they immediately sent in. On the next day/Tuesday Morning I received an e-mail due to lack of receipt of paid my cancel was denied and if I wanted to pursue I had to resubmit and start all over, back to the 45 days. You claimed you did not receive from my Veterinarian. NO ONE BOTHERED TO CALL MY VETERINARIAN OFFICE TO COMFIRM PAYMENT, A FAST PHONE CALL THAT WOULD HAVE SAVED YOUR COMPANY TIME AND EFFORT IN THE END AND IMMEDIATELY RESOLVED DONE - BUT NO!!!!! I asked for it to be escalated due to your taking YOUR 45 days, but giving us barely 24 hours to respond WHICH WE DID and saying not received. NO ONE WAS FRIENDLY OR HELPFUL, JUST TUFF LUCK START OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a Professional Dog Trainer and would NEVER refer you to my Veterinarians or Clients due to the crappy way I was treated, along with misinformation put on Claims by your people. AWFUL SERVICE!!!!! If you want a QUALITY Company go with Trupanion! Amazing Customer Service and Claim Service - As they say: "You get what you pay for!"

My policy with Pet's Best saved me from having to make a tough decision for my dog due to the excessive high cost of a long hospitalization. My 12-week-old puppy contracted leptospirosis and fell severely ill and required 10 days of hospitalization in the ICU. Knowing I had this policy meant that I could provide this care and he is home and back to his young self! The initial claims did take time to process, but they caught up quickly and processed all my claims for him at once! To make things easier ask your vet for the notes and records of the visit/ hospitalization and upload those to the website, this will save time as that is one less thing that they will need to do to process your claim.
