Concerned for the Future of PetPartners

I would have given PetPartners 10 stars a few months ago but it would seem they are making some changes that make me a lot less excited to tell my friends to get a policy. They no longer cover illness for dogs insured after 5yrs of age. They no longer let you increase coverage should the need arise or should you be able to afford better coverage. Who knows what other changes have been made. I’m extremely disappointed though because PetPartners was a standout among other heartless pet insurance companies and it seems they are moving towards joining the pack. What I will say is how thankful I was to have a policy when my dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma. That said, when I put her SupportCare claim in after she passed they tried to charge me a coinsurance- this does not apply on these claims. It was easily addressed via email but frustrating to deal with while grieving the loss of my sweet girl. Both of my dogs policies also increased in cost upon renewal. Understandable with our girl with lymphoma, treatments are expensive; but for our other dog, if I put in his same details in the quote tool or act like I am going to make a change in the online portal it shows that his monthly should be less. I feel like I have been penalized for using their insurance. All that to say, I’m not sure if there is a more customizable/better option on the market currently but I sure hope they don’t continue making negative changes. I am almost feeling guilty for all of the people who signed up based on my positive reviews because it was based on something that no longer exists.

Worst grooming experience ever

ON December 29, 2023, I took my Yorkie Terrier to be groomed. This is the 3rd time each time my puppy come back not looking like my puppy. She very soft and fluffy although she was quite matted I expected them as professionals to try to save as much of her fur as possible, each time she came back with hardly any fur at all. I dont even know that she's my puppy. I give instructions before they take her back and they never follow through. This time was the last straw my puppy is now very sad she's shivering and is not her self. Also each time they charge me at least $30.00 more than the last time. I will NEVER TAKE MY PUPPIES TO THEM FOR GROOMING EVER AGAIN. I wish that I could show you before and after Pictures. I will be going in today to speak to the manager and request a partical refund.

Don't bother, they won't cover

Called to initiate coverage after adopting a puppy. CS agent was very rude, telling me that my coverage would not cover any pre existing condition in the puppy. I said I just wanted to start because I was taking her to the vet the next day for a wellness check and wanted to make sure the coverage started (this coverage came "free" with the adoption). She said it would in 24 hours. They actually didn't start it for 48 hours and my puppy ended up having an intestinal parasite, then developing kennel cough, then passing away within a month. They said that because the coverage started "after symptoms" she wouldn't be covered. Such an awful experience for our whole family. This is just another insurance company like US health insurance where their goal is to collect premiums and then deny as much as possible.

Angela is the best

Angela was absolutely amazing. She deserves a raise. She identified a plan that would work perfectly for my dog. She answered every question with a positive and precise response. I have dealt with many customer service representatives and very few compare to her. This experience was one of the best that I have had through a phone call. Thank you so much, Angela.
