I recommend this Policy to every dog owner I meet.

I am very pleased with this insurance for my dogs. I have had occasion to use it for very expensive Vet care, and am thoroughly please with the service, ease of filing a claim and the rapid and seamless payment of my claims.

Worth it!

I was unsure about getting pet insurance the first few years of my dogs life but now I'm so glad I did! It's probably one of the best form of care, protections and investments I could make for him!

Not a good use of my money

Nationwide Pet Insurance is a waste of money. If your animal has a pre-existing condition, nothing is covered. If your animal needs a re-check for blood work or testing, nothing is covered. The only things covered are Wellness Exams and a new injury claim.

Very Pleased with Claims Processing/Payment

Thank you Nationwide for processing and paying all claims that have been submitted due to our Twinkles' injury. Being surprised by her suddenly no longer walking we had no idea what to do. All services have been processed and paid promptly which allows us to continue Twinkles' treatment and therapy (minus the $100 annual deductible).

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
