Coverage

Was disappointed in the coverage for Izzy’s second corneal ulcer, I didn’t realize the $650 coverage was treatment for both eyes, her right eye was in November and her left eye in May, I assumed it was each eye. This is the first time I have disappointed in your coverage.5

Your customer service is terrific!

I've noticed in the past few months that you reply time has been much faster. I always mail in my claims and get my explanation of benefits and, if applicable, my benefit check in a short period of time. In this day and time, I find that most helpful. I've never had a problem with your service. I appreciate that so much and give you my deepest thanks.

Nationwide eases my mind when it comes to making care decisions for my dog as I don't have to say no due financial concerns.

Knowing that I had this awesome insurance allowed me to have no hesitation in calling the emergency care vet for Sophia's recent visit. She was lethargic, panting, would not eat and could not walk. It gave me great comfort to know that no matter what her diagnosis, I was sure I could afford it with the great support from Nationwide. She was treated and home in a few short hours and back to her old self the next day. I submitted my claim the next day and was funded within a few short days. Thank you, Nationwide.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
