Fair, fast, dependable

I’ve had both of my dogs covered since before VPI became Nationwide. In all this time, every claim has been reviewed promptly and paid out exactly as the plan promises. Truly every interaction I’ve had with Nationwide customer service has been friendly and helpful. I’m grateful my boys have this insurance.

Nationwide Pet Insurance is one of the best decisions I've made for my pets!

Nationwide has been very easy to do business with. Their claims process is even easier now and I truly appreciate their quick response time. 90% of the time I have had excellent customer service. I have the wellness policy on two of my 3 pets (previously had 4 pets covered) and while it's not "cheap", it is well worth the cost if you need it. I have a pet who has been seriously injured and thus far the claims process and reimbursement timeline have been excellent (as mentioned above). I highly recommend them!

Nationwide Pet Insurance Saved my Fur-babies

We absolutely love Nationwide pet insurance. I wish human health insurance was this good. My pets can go to the vet anytime without me worrying or delaying due to fear of expense. I've told all of my friends to get pet insurance.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
