The Vet helpline was very responsive and helpful; the ease of filing a claim is great and the quick payment is very nice!

I'm really glad we decided to purchase Nationwide Pet Insurance. The program is great; everyone is very helpful and easy to work with; the website is easy to navigate.

Glad we have the insurance due to her ongoing allergy meds. Unfortunately a pre-existing problem limits her overall coverage.

Unfortunately, Roxie developed a condition before we could purchase insurance. The insurance now helps with her allergy medications but doesn't cover her bladder problems. which are costly.

Policy is easy to understand and upheld by Nationwide! Never had an issue.

My dog's policy is comprehensive of both emergency and preventative services. She's had it since she was a puppy so there are no exclusions to deal with. After meeting the deductible both years on this plan, everything has been covered and I've never had an issue receiving payment in a timely manner. In one case, Nationwide needed to see medical records to process the claim. Once the vet sent them, they were reviewed quickly and I was paid according to my policy. Thank you so much for being easy to work with Nationwide!

Easy to file claims and quick to pay

I have only recently began to file claims for Ginger; so far I have found it easy to file claims and the company has been quick in paying. I am only saying I wouldn’t recommend because I think the premiums paid are more than what I will ever get value for.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
