The ease of filing a claim has got SO much easier! I am glad I have pet insurance!

The new claim process is SO much easier and quicker payments! I am glad I have insurance! When you don't have a lot of money it helps you make those difficult decisions sometimes when it comes down to money :-(

Best experience, Nationwide is there when you need

Nationwide is the best pet insurance I’ve ever had. I can take my dog to any vet (prefer experience with IG, due to lean body low fat) especially when anesthetizing, critical they have years of experience working with IG’s special needs. As I have searched to find the best vet with IG experience Nationwide supports us with care. So grateful to have Nationwide by our side! 🐕‍🦺

Really Check into other plans before making a decision

They're very expensive and do not cover many things that other insurance companies do for similar pricing. I did not insure my second dog with Nationwide. I've insured every dog I've ever owned with VPI - changed very much since Nationwide took over. So I moved on :(

Never had a problem with claims with Nationwide. Forms are easy to find and claims are easy to submit. I receive clear and timely communications to let me know what the status of my claim is including detailed information about coverage. It really does help to know that you have a little extra support and money coming back when you have to spend money to care for your family member. I would highly recommend Nationwide for their coverage and costs.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
