Brunehilde is doing much better......thanks. She received excellent care from her Dr. and excellent service from her insurance carrier. I couldn't ask for anything more........thanks again for all your help.

Very reliable Insurance

Have been with Nationwide insurance for 6 years. My dog has had three surgeries, two of which, I put claims for. Very easy and no problems with my turnaround and refund.

My BFF and Nationwide

Nationwide Pet Insurance is the best . In the last 6 months or so my dog Nozzie has been going through some rough patches with her blood pressure and kidney issues but with the Nationwide Insurance to help me cover the expenses is a godsend especially since I have been out of work since March. Nationwide has truly been on my side.

When the company was BPI Insurance the coverage was closer to what the actual bills were

The good thing is they usually will reimburse you within 30 days when you submit your claim unfortunately I've been with the company when it was a VPI since the late 80s and this is my third dog that I have had coverage with and now the company has become Nationwide unfortunately the coverage is only averaging about 50% of what the bill is now. When it was VPI, it was actually closer to anout 80%. I do carry the best coverage that Nationwide offers.....but its not keeping up with the cost of actual vet bills.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
