A must have

I have been with this insurance since my dog was a puppy (formerly VPI) and it has more than paid for itself. It’s great to know that whenever I go to the vet that everything is usually always taken care of after my deductible is met.

Great service, but slow processing for claim.

It took 3-4 weeks from when I submitted the claim to receiving the payment.

Excellent service

This insurance policy is a must have for any pet owner. Their electronic claim form submission process is easy to use and they are processed quickly. My wife and I foster animals for a local rescue and always recommend this insurance to anyone who adopts from us.

HIGHLY recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance!

We are VERY happy with Nationwide Pet Insurance. Both of our pets are covered and one of them has had some health issues/illnesses recently. We have been so impressed with the coverage Nationwide has provided. I recommend it to everyone we meet who has a pet - including strangers on the street!! I even posted a comment on my Facebook status about how great Nationwide is.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
