There for me every step of the way, never let us down.
I purchased this pet insurance the moment I rescued my dog 15 years ago. I wanted to make sure I could always take care of him and don't have deep pockets. Insurance was the most sensible answer for me. Was an excellent decision as Chandler has needed medical attention at times and some were quite costly (i.e. was attacked by a pit and at age 14 was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia, an auto-immune disorder ). Nationwide always paid promptly and their support and customer service has been remarkable. I can depend on them to be there for us. Interesting this review came across my desk today as just this morning I was thinking how grateful I am and was going to write them to say thank you. Chandler would not be with me today without them. He is the dearest dog and a treasure, so caring for him has been and remains paramount to me. He is now 16! Wish I could attach his picture!

Reliable and Efficient
Nationwide have been great to work with. Claims are processed readily and efficiently. I’d love an upload online feature rather than emailing claim documents but that’s a minor consideration. We feel our claims have all been treated with fairness. And the direct deposit process is great!

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
