Life savor

My pup Penny just used her insurance policy with Nationwide. She needed her teeth cleaned and spayed. These two things will help her live longer. I am so thankful for the insurance, it helped pay for the care she needs to stay healthy. I also have the insurance for my two other dogs Barry and Milly. Having this insurance allows me to feel like I am truly able to do everything I can to keep my pets healthy. The only think I wish was different is if the Vet could bill Nationwide directly. Other than that its a great product and awesome company.

Great response to claims, easy submitting process

They are always helpful with answering questions and have a very easy claim process. My dog has had many medical issues this year and I am very happy to have insurance for her care.

Never would not have pet Insurance, it is a must have.

My beloved Golden Retriever, Belle lived to the age of 15 1/2. I attribute her long life to the excellent Veterinary care and the fact that Belle had the Superior Plan and Cancer Rider plan with VPI that helped with her medical cost. The customer service is outstanding and always available to answer any questions regarding your pet's plan or submitted claims. Claims are easily submitted by FAX, Email, or mail. In addition Nationwide emails newsletters to help keep your pet safe and healthy. I rate the insurance with a A- I did not give a A+ because of genetic (breed specific) and pre-existing conditions are not covered.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
