Nationwide Pet Insurance has been our saving grace

I selected Nationwide Pet Insurance because it was the preferred pet insurance carrier for my company. Nationwide has been our saving grace! Pets come with unforeseen medical expenses, and Nationwide supported me through paying for medical care that saved my dog's life. I could not have done it without their support.

Oskar has had various health issues throughout his life. Having pet insurance is the best thing ever. It makes one less major worry to have when he isn't feeling well. I have recommended this to many others.

Great to deal with but slow on claims payments.

Have always received good customer service but the claims times have become longer lately , so not sure what is going on. Still paying as promised, just taking longer than it ever did in the past.

Nationwide is the Best!

My cocker, Nicky recently, had a three week long bout of unrelated incidents. If it hadn’t been for Nationwide Pet Insurance, I’m not sure what I would have done. We are recently retired and counting every penny. While I had to go into our savings to pay up front for the vet, I could put most of the money back after I was reimbursed by the insurance. Nicky is a cherished member of our family and his health and well-being is very important to us. We have health insurance and so does he.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
