Doesn’t reimburse for anything
I am seriously thinking about canceling policies for both of my dogs. I pay over 100 a month for coverage and reimbursement is a joke. My dog Lucy needed surgery which costs over 1200 and only got 300! I have been paying on her policy for 12 years. I am thinking let insurance is a racket.

best insurance coverage
Unfortunately, my Frenchie needed emergency spinal surgery about 4 weeks ago and it took us by surprise... and we needed to act fast. She was in a lot of pain and we thought we were going to have to put her down actually. Because I knew that I had Nationwide coverage, I was able to very comfortably tell them to go ahead with the surgery on the spot. Nationwide covered her exactly as promised with no issues whatsoever. I never have to sorry about haggling or loopholes in their policy. They do what they say they will do ... and they do it quickly. Many thx to Nationwide - I will never use anyone else.

Nationwide has been great, and I have recommended them to friends. They have given peace of mind when a pet / loved one has an issue.

I'll never go without pet insurance!
VPI/Nationwide pet insurance is truly a Godsend. We have had their services on both our German Shepherd and black Lab for approximately 5 years now and while our Lab has been healthy (knock on wood), our Shepherd has not. Pet insurance has taken the financial stress off of us so all we have to worry about is getting our fur baby the medical help he needs when the need arises. Nearly every time he has had an injury/illness, Nationwide has been there to reimburse us the majority, if not all, of the cost of his treatment. I will never own another pet without insurance and tell all of my family and friends about Nationwide. I have also had at least four people sign their pets up after telling them about my experience. Thank you Nationwide for all that you do for our family!

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
