Prompt and Accommodating!

My experience with Nationwide Pet Insurance has been great! We have had coverage for the entire 5 years we've had our Boxer, and in the past couple of years when she's needed extra care for ACL surgery, and now cancer surgery and chemotherapy, the coverage has been invaluable. It's allowed us to pursue treatment for our girl, and manage the financial burden. Submitting claims is very easy especially through the VitusVet mobile app, and communication about my claims is always prompt. I highly recommend EVERY one get pet insurance. Thank you!

Awsome Customer Service Rep

The Customer Service Representative was Awsome. She took the time so I could fully understand the EOB form. Friendly, courteous and willing to help. The claim process was very fast turnaround.

Nationwide provides the best service and peace of mind that my goldens will have the best health care they need.

I am and have been very pleased with the service and attention Nationwide has provided. I have friends that have had to make hard decisions about treating their dogs' medical issues due to finances. I am so glad I have a resource with Nationwide to help with medical bills.

We Love Nationwide Pet Insurance!

We purchased Nationwide Pet Insurance for our two boxers after comparing all the other companies out there. Believe me, I'm a person who does her research! This has proven to be a perfect company for us. The cover wellness and have covered surgeries and much more for our two furbabies. Its such a relief when a problem arises that we can tell the vet to do all necessary tests and treatments needed. Our Daisy somehow contracted tetanus and all treatment was covered. We couldn't be happier.

Takes a long time from the time the claim was sent, to receiving a check.

Yes, thank you for asking. Abbey is feeling much better and is back to her normal self. However, I used to have VPI Insurance nd they paid much quicker. This particular claim did come quicker than usual but normally it does take quite a while, a month or more, to receive the check. I have found that VPI was more prompt.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
