Great for those unexpected vet visits

My dog is family. I love having a policy that takes the worry out of the unexpected vet visits. Claims are easy and painless. I’ll be adding our newest addition to the family to our policy very soon.

Refund Delay

refunds take wayyyyy too long. My sisters insurance company provide the reimbursement with 3-6 business day. Also i feel that you try avoiding reimbursement at slight discrepancy. I've had reimbursements denied just because my dog had treatment for his pre-existing allergies during the same visit to treat of another completely unrelated illness, but you guys denied it just because both were treated at the same time. Unfortunately this is not the only case, this has occurred to my neighbor twice, so it makes me think that this is the way you operate, which is unethical.

I am so grateful to have Nationwide Pet Insurance

Nationwide has been great with our new puppy. Unfortunately, our sweet baby, who is only 9 months, had some complications following her spay, followed by an ear infection and a toe infection (likely the result of an insect bite). Nationwide has been there for us. I am so thankful!!

Best insurance ever! Worth every penny.

Having insurance is worth’s very penny. We don’t have to worry about the cost when it comes to the well-being and health of our dogs.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
