Great pet insurance!

I am very pleased with the insurance. Claims are handled quickly and an easy to understand explanation is always given for unpaid claims. I would recommend the insurance to all new pet owners.

Turn around time seems to be taking longer and longer

Process takes to long and monthly payments increase is becoming more significant. I know premium goes up each year due to age but my dogs are only 5 and hike since 1 st year is crazy. Will probably be dropping within next year

Very easy

I've had Nationwide insurance for Jeffrey, the dog, ever since he joined the family six, almost seven years ago, and I've always been impressed with the representatives' professionalism and speed in processing claims. Jeffrey just had surgery for a torn ACL and meniscus. I called Nationwide a couple of times about coverage, reimbursements, etc. To a one, every Nationwide representative with whom I spoke was kind, helpful, and generous with their time. It's been a stressful time, it's very scary to see my little one in pain, but the Nationwide staff really came through for me and I am very grateful. Thank you.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
