Not great.
The way Nationwide gets out of paying for most claims is labeling them under the "Exclusions" or "we will not pay for diagnosis or treatment of any pre existing condition. A pre existing condition that began or was treated 12 months before the effective date of this policy." What good is having a pet insurance policy if they keep denying claims because of so called "pre existing conditions" that they decide were there, even though they were not. How convenient.

Thankful to have Nationwide on my pet's side!
So thankful that we have Nationwide to reduce the stress related to caring for our wonderful dog. We didn't think twice about what decision to make.

So glad Nationwide is on our side!
Sometimes puppies have a rough start which is no different than a human baby. They get infections and illnesses playing with other puppies and eat things they shouldn't, which is really gross. When I decided to get our Standard Poodle puppy, we named Sam, I decided to get a CareCredit credit card, along with paying a monthly premium to Nationwide pet insurance, and I am SO glad I did. Both of these tools have really allowed us to be able to afford the care my puppy has needed when he needed it. Every illness or infection is always unexpected and being able to have my vet submit claims for me at the visit, has been convenient. I have been reimbursed for all covered expenses and that has allowed me to keep the CareCredit card paid down and available for the next visit. I am so glad we have Nationwide on our side!! I highly recommend this company and highly recommend everyone gets pet insurance.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period

Exclusions
