It’s been an absolute pleasure working with nationwide pet insurance!

Nationwide has been responsive, efficient and thorough in answering questions and processing and reimbursing claims. I am very happy I made the choice to go with nationwide for our pet insurance.

Repeated injuries from vicious stray

Shadow was an “accidental rescue” years ago. A confirmed alleycat who we eventually semi-tamed to stay indoors at night, sort of. Apparently, there is a new ( obviously non-neutered male cat ) prowling around and has it in for shadow who continually attacks him and sent him to the hospital 😖 We are doing what we can to keep them safe. Thank you for checking! We really appreciate nationwide backing us up for his medical needs and we’re very happy that we continued pain year in and year out for his medical insurance!

Happy to have Nationwide

While it seemed expensive initially, I have found that I feel secure knowing that if I am faced with an unexpected bill or emergency, l can depend up Nationwide to help with cost.

Turnaround Time Much Improved!!

After National took over for VPI the time to process changed pretty quickly, but the past couple visits have been so much better and faster and that is a big relief on a budget for sure so thank you so much for making that a priority for us!!! Also, Customer service was really great about notifying me quickly about a form that I didn't attach so as to not delay the review, so I appreciated that greatly as well!!!! Glad to have coverage for my furry friend!!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
