We have had this insurance since we got our puppy, and have had 3 wellness claims; all have gone great

Our puppy is healthy and happy, but like any puppy has had the usual 4 vet visits for shots, deworming, etc. We got Nationwide at the advice our our breeded, and they have been excellent. No hassle claims process, timely response.

Easy to understand and make claims

Great insurance and very friendly customer service. They always ask how our pet is doing and are sincere and wanting animals to be healthy.

Makes vet visits less stressful!

Its easy to submit claims and they are processed fairly quickly. I don't stress when I take my dog to the vet because I know that whatever I end up paying I will get 90% reimbursement from the pet insurance through Nationwide. I also love that preventative's like Flea & Tick and Heartworm medication are covered as well(Wellness Plan). Last summer my dog was sick and at the vet they wanted to do an x-ray and some other tests and I was able to just say "lets do it" because I knew I had the backing of my pet insurance.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
