Never had a bad experience with Nationwide Pet Insurance
With bulldogs you need pet insurance. We have been happy with this insurance for over 10 years.

Great follow-up and quick reimbursement
We rescued our dogs two years ago and since we did not know their history we thought we’d play it safe with pet insurance. We have been very happy with Nationwide. We appreciate the concern for the pets and it is easy to submit claims and the reimbursement is usually timely. We feel comfort knowing that our girls (2 Yorkies) are covered!

Nationwide has been very easy to work with thus far. Claim turnaround is fast. Customer service is nice and pleasant on the phone and I always get a person to talk to. The only thing I wish they would do different is extend more coverage for the heartworm and flea protection in a given fiscal year - I use Trifexus for both my French Bulldogs and it's $25/mo. They cover $75/year and that gets expensive.

All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
