This is the best pet insurance we’ve ever had!

I cannot say enough about how great this insurance has been. It is easy to file a claim and payments are made quickly. I love that I can do the whole transaction through my phone, from filing the claim to depositing the reimbursement. There have been no hassles about what is covered, which is a relief.

Never a Problem

Stinks that the premiums keep going up but it is what it is. As far as claims they are super easy to work with and provide rather quick pay outs.

Pet insurance is one of life's best decisions.

Our beloved 4-legged sons have been insured by Nationwide all of their existence. This pet insurance is a life-saver for me and my husband! Although we have to put up the funds up front, knowing we'll get some return gives us peace of mind. We would love if you could offer premium renewal discounts as an incentive of long-term customer relationship.

Great care!

Thank you for inquiring on how Kiefer is doing after his surgeries. Kiefer broke both of his back cruciate ligaments last month and we were able to get it quickly diagnosed and corrected. Thank you for the coverage since this was a rather expensive surgery but necessary in order for him to walk again. We appreciate your concern!

Awesome

Nationwide Pet Insurance has been so great! I have a pup that has had leg injuries the last couple months which caused me some stress in the care for her. And was so relieved that my plan covers the treatment that she has to receive to strengthen and heal her leg. And the processing of claims is so clear and simple...takes a bit of the weight off my shoulders to know that they 'get it' when a pet is in treatment and where your priorities should be. Thank you Nationwide!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
