So easy and helpful

Nationwide is an excellent insurance program for my pet. It makes sense financially and takes the worry of an unexpected huge vet bill away. Claims are easy and paid quickly right into my bank account. Customer service is excellent, thank you!

New rate increase exceeds my budget

I've been insuring my pets through VPI/Nationwide since adopting our first Yorkshire Terrier puppy in 1988. I have recommended it to everyone who becomes a new parent. I would like to have given it an overall rating of 10, but the new rate increase (from $62+/per month to $106+/month and extra for Wellness may have priced me out of coverage. I was more than happy to pay a higher premium for several years to have coverage for accident, illness, and wellness visits with 90% refund on Vet bills. I guess the company isn't making any money off pet parents like me, so I'll have to compare other pet insurance programs prior to renewing my Yorkie's policy. I presume Nationwide is the same insurance company that cancelled my first auto insurance policy after making a claim for an accident.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.
