Insurance is a real blessing

My cats had gotten into an altercation of some sort while we were on vacation. After taking care of an infected bite mark on his back, we found he had a split tooth. Poor little dude was having trouble eating. Thankfully we had Nationwide Pet Insurance and were able to get him taken care of. He’s a happy kitty again and we’re grateful that we have insurance.

Thank you so much for checking in on Cyrus. He is doing great with the medication necessary for his condition. The medication Viokase, which he needs to live a healthy life is very expensive, we thank you for covering the majority of the cost. He will need this medication for the rest of his life. We are extremely pleased with all the help you have given us with all of our dogs. We have been a customer for the past 15 years and have recommended you to many friends and family.

Thanks for paying for Tiki's claim!

we recently got a new puppy, which we also insured with you. I think our 7 year old lab was showing off for his new friend, and he somehow ate a tennis ball which blocked his intestines. Nationwide took the stress off this event and paid the claim, and informed us of the process along the way. Insurance for us humans should be so easy!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
