Nationwide Pet Insurance gives me peace of mind knowing I will be reimbursed for vet expenses.

2 1/2 years ago I took my brand new puppy to the pet store. An older gentleman walked up to me to see my puppy and told me a story about his dog needing medical help. It cost him thousands. He said he had Nationwide pet insurance and said he didn't know what he would have done without it. He urged me to cover my dog. So I went home and started researching. Nationwide had the best policy regarding reimbursement (90%) and very few exclusions. Turned out to be excellent advice. We have used the insurance for reimbursement of vaccinations, allergy meds and xrays.

Wonderful Insurance

Have had Nationwide Pet Insurance since its inception. Easy to work with just have to send in entire vet report and all test results then it is easy and payment is very timely! As my pitbull approaches her 15th year I am grateful for their service.

Excellent Service

Since Arlo showed up on my doorstep, she has been a great joy, but she has had an awful case of gum disease and with the help of Nationwide Pet Insurance it has been eady to take care of the treatment needed to help our love bug feel better.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
