Nationwide was there with us every step of the way.

From the time Frankie partially tore a CCL Nationwide was there. The initial vet visits, prescriptions, out-of-state surgical specialists, and traveling were stressful on our family. Nationwide's 24x7 Vet Helpline assisted us with our treatment decisions. Their claims department's quick turnaround eased the financial burden of the surgical costs. We are now in a lengthy (but far less stressful) recovery period and facing it with confidence. Nationwide was our choice for pet insurance a number of years ago and they have always been there for us. This critical incident confirms we made the right decision.

Recommendation to Other Pet Owners

My family and I are pet lovers and we want to provide the best care for them. I shopped around to compare all the difference pet insurances out there for our dogs and they are all not created equal. We reviewed the different plans that were offered and selected the one that was best for us. We choose the one that included preventive services and it pays for itself and our dogs are healthy. My employer partners with Nationwide and makes it so easier to enroll through payroll deduction. Nationwide's Customer Service is outstanding after the sale.

I am very happy with Nation Wide and feel at ease that Gia is well covered.

My experience with Nationwide Pet I surance has been a positive one. Great coverage, helpful customer service and easy claim filing are all pluses. Getting insurance for my baby girl is one of the best things I did to help protect her.

Ask less questions.

The response was much faster than earlier. Too many unneccessary required fields in the review.

Have had issues with claim reimbursement.

Everything sounded great when I was initially signing up. I was completely honest about my dog’s health. The first claim I submitted was somehow lost Or dropped on Nationwide’s end and I had to advocate for myself to get the payment. I have now been denied payment of a claim with the explanation “pre-existing condition”, which is not true. I am frustrated that I have to take the time and effort to advocate for myself and my dog again. My confidence in Nationwide is shaken now and I may reconsider my options for coverage. I heard good things about Nationwide, but my personal experience has left me feeling otherwise, which is really disappointing. I was quick to recommend Nationwide to others in the beginning based on the the cost, but I would mention Nationwide with caution at this point.
