Best reimbursements for preventative pet healthcare

We have been so happy with the healthcare provided by Nationwide for our dog, Rio. We make use of the services for all of his preventative and wellness needs such as tick and flea treatment, regular vaccinations, and vet visits. Nationwide pays the best rate of reimbursement for our bills and we take comfort knowing that Rio is covered in the event of any medical events that happen. Our dog is a big part of our family and we love being able to provide him with the best care.

My dog is very well taken care of.

I feel my dog is very well taken care of, we no longer hesitate to take him to the vet if we have any concerns. I have had a very easy time of submitting claims and being reimbursed.

Very fast claim processing - usually reimbursed within 7 days!

Very happy with the insurance and the claims process, however the cost of insurance has now doubled over the last 8 years (Boo Boo is now 8). I have concern that insurance will not be affordable as she continues to age.

Good insurance for piece of mind when accidents occur

You know the old saying "You never know how good your insurance is until you need it" or something like that. I have had Nationwide Pet Insurance (offered through my employer) for 4-5yrs. First time that I had a claim for Medical coverage. Filing a claim online was easy, they covered the claim minus the deductible, and the reimbursement was fast. The overall experience was great! I have contacted Customer Service a few times over the years and they have been professional and helpful.

The easiest, most convenient claim ever!!

I have had Nationwide insurance for my pet a long time now with the hopes that I would not have to use it. Now that my is over 9 years old, he needs some medical attention - probably similar to human seniors. Nationwide was easy to file claims with, and the deductible was also easy to fulfill. I am so happy that I stuck with the insurance plan!! Thank you!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
