Using Nationwide was easy and the refund from my claim was quick!

The first amount from my claim that came through was incorrect, however, I called customer service and got a very friendly rep that re-submitted my claim again because the items that should have been covered were not processed and it got remedied right away. Overall a very smooth and easy process for my claim.

Great insurance, just what we needed.

Thank you for this wonderful insurance at a reasonable price. Our dog has never been sick, so it was a shock when he developed an illness, almost died, and had to be in the hospital several days. He is now feeling better and acting like his old self again. The claims process was easy with the phone app, and the electronic payment was super fast and just what I expected. Thank you, Nationwide!

Exceeded my expectations by far.

Rosie is our first pet and I had no idea pet insurance even existed. I became aware through my corporate benefits package and signed up. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first start submitting claims but I was quickly amazed. The process was extremely quick and easy. Everything was being covered and the payments were made way ahead of the expectations set during submission. I have already recommended Nationwide pet insurance to multiple pet owners.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
