Great peace of mind for covering major unexpected health care costs for your pet.
Adopted our cat 2-years ago and after checking out various pet major medical insurance policies, we selected Nationwide Pet Insurance. They are very easy and convenient to deal with along with a good user interface for online and mobile app. Last month our cat had required some dental surgery which is not inexpensive however, Nationwide Major Medical was right there to support us. We filed the claim electronically the day after the surgery and quite happily surprised a week later we received our reimbursement without any hassle...Thank you Nationwide! Happy to report that our cat is doing fine now and glad we had the pet insurance!

Great and caring claim service
This is my 3rd year with the policy for Whiplash and my other boy Concussion. I have been so pleased with the coverages, fair premium, and claim service. I often recommend your pet insurance to my friends, family and coworkers. I am a 31 year Insurance Claims employee with another carrier so I understand the challeges and rewards of what you all do. My company has recently started piloting pet coverage but cannot compete with your premiums at this time. The piece of mind your product offers is so appreciated and your customer service is consistently top notch.

Claims are so easy now from my mobile phone
This is the first year we have added the wellness coverage, and it is very helpful with the costs to keep our dog Scout healthy. Recently we needed a sick visit again, and the coverage has paid off for us . I started using Vitus Vet App for claims through my phone, easy and faster claim service. Thanks

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
