For the most part Nationwide is worth the premiu

In an emergency such as this claim, Nationwide is certainly worth the premium. What is confusing is the following scenario: I take Ruby religiously for her yearly checkup, in other words , a wellness and maintenance checkup. Virtually, nothing is covered even though I make a good effort to ensure the well being of Ruby. This is frustrating with Nationwide.

Helping with dog guardianship

It has been generally quite easy to submit a claim and get a refund. The first year or two is the most difficult part of dog guardianship, as we get to know Batman. Visiting the vet more often during this time is part of getting to know him, and what his possible problems are.

Nationwide is an excellent insurance to have.

Nationwide is amazing. From the 24/7 vet phone line, to the 90% reimbursement on her hospital costs, to the wellness coverage and the emergency coverage. I couldn’t be happier with the coverage Nationwide offers. If any one of our clients ask about pet insurance, I let them know that Nationwide is the way to go.

Great insurance

Been using about 20 years nothing but exceptional service. I have had dogs with some difficult illnesses that involved expensive treatments. Nationwide was always there to help out.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
