Happy customer

Overall process was easy and customer service was helpful. Would be great to have claims right inside the mobile app instead of email but email is good enough.

Good coverage but time consuming to submit claim

I've found that most vet procedures, visits., medications are covered at an acceptable level. However, non-traditional medications/supplements are not. My dog has digestive issues so our vet prescribes a probiotic spray that really has helped. My dog also has a history of urinary tract infections so the vet prescribes a cranberry extract chew-able pill for dogs that has dramatically reduced the number of urinary tract infections. Another procedure that I feel should be covered is anal gland expression. If not performed, the glands can become full and then infected leading to other complications and costs. Some pet owners perform this procedure themselves but in order for it to be done correctly and checked for infection, a vet or vet tech should be the one performing the procedure. Overall, the coverage is good but the things I mentioned should be considered for reimbursement as they are preventative methods that can ultimately reduce potential vet visits and additional costs.

Eye injury from chasing rabbit under thorny bush

Glad to know my claims were paid for vet and ophthalmology specialty vet visits, procedures and medication. Corneal eye ulcer is still in process of healing but we have definitely saved the eye. Sure happy I bought Into Nationwide’s pet insurance plan for emergencies. Ease of transferring payments into bank account online as well.
