Couldn’t be HAPPIER with Nationwide pet insurance!!
I selected Nationwide pet insurance after doing extensive research on various other companies. Nationwide has very positive ratings and customer comments. I have learned the hard way the financial pitfalls of NOT having pet insurance. I have paid well over $6,000 in medical bills for previous cats illnesses. I got the extremely affordable major medical plan for my 2 rescue cats...hoping of course, never having to use it. From the beginning, the Nationwide staff was awesome! They answered all my questions regarding the plan and gave me very helpful advice about filing claims and using their Vet help line. Unfortunately I recently had to file a huge claim. When my cat got sick, I started by calling the Vet helpline and received immediate assistance. They were extremely helpful, professional and very compassionate. I ended up needing to take my cat to the Pet Hospital. He developed a urinary blockage that required 2 emergency surgeries and hospitalization for a week. During that time I was on the phone multiple times with Nationwide and I truly cannot say enough positive comments about the help I received. I was terrified as my medical bill increased daily. The Nationwide staff helped me through that week and advised me exactly what to do to expedite my claim. Long story short, when the final huge hospital bill came...it took less than 10 minutes to file the claim! And even more impressive...3 days later it was resolved and I was notified that my check had been sent!!!! And all this happened during the Covid19 shutdown when staff members were working from home! I apologize for the lengthy review...but I just went through a worst case scenario and I wanted to share the details about the wonderful experience I had with Nationwide! My cat survived and so did my bank account. I am forever grateful to the entire staff at Nationwide!!!
