I’ve really appreciated having pet insurance through MetLife — filing claims has always been easy, and their app is wonderful!
But I’m absolutely shocked and upset by how much my premium just increased. It didn’t just double or triple — it went up by five times! That’s outrageous and completely unfair. Its like a scam. They cover you until your pet gets sick, then they raise your premium so high you can't afford it.
Now I’m stuck: either I pay this massive amount or lose coverage altogether. My dog was recently diagnosed with a disease, which now counts as a pre-existing condition — meaning no other insurance will cover it. This just feels wrong.
