MUCH more trouble than it's worth
I decided to try using pet insurance for my healthy dog. After paying 3 months of premiums at $62.97 per month plus a $12 enrollment fee, my dog got sick so I brought him to the vet. I made a claim for the $99 fee. As demanded by MetLife, I uploaded 12 months of SOAP records including the visit in question. I uploaded a 2-page invoice AND the receipt for payment. What a waste of time.
First MetLife contacted my vet for the same documents I had already uploaded. Then MetLife claimed my invoice was obstructed. When I called and pointed out that I submitted a two-page document, first page a plain invoice and the second page the invoice with the receipt stapled to the top, the claim rep said that was not how it was submitted. I walked her through reviewing my submission. She still implied I had submitted two claims because THEIR SYSTEM had glitched and separated the two-page document I uploaded. I was frustrated with this person so I asked for a supervisor, was put on a 10 minute hold, then they came back and said the supervisor was not available. Later she accidentally admitted she had spoken to a supervisor.
I decided to cancel. THERE IS NO WAY TO CANCEL ONLINE. You need to CALL, wait on hold, ask to cancel, then they send you an email with a form you have to complete. What a waste of my time, not to mention 3 months of premiums.
Oh and by the way, when I asked, she told me the claim was denied anyways :-)
DO NOT DO IT!
