Healthy Paws has truly been a lifesaver…

Healthy Paws has truly been a lifesaver for us. My mastiff was diagnosed with Wobblers this past month and her medical bills are already above $3500. They have been great with communication even during Covid and I have received my approved claims in a timely manner. It's also really nice that they cover alternative treatments like acupuncture and hydrotherapy as surgery is not an option for her at this time. I've never had anything but good experiences with this company and we've used them for 6+ years. They definitely are not cheap but when you need them they are there and it is worth it everytime.

I want to give 0 STARS!

I want to give 0 STARS! They do bad business and hope the customer is complacent and won't make any effort to make them do business better. I was a customer for 2.5 years and they increased their monthly premium 3 times already with no reason or explanation. My policy only covered accidents and started at $27/month then went to $40 within 1 year. Note: I hit my deductible one year only. Last month, they canceled my coverage within 3 days of them unable to retrieve their monthly payment. (A family member died and I lost track of finances). They sent 1 email telling me to fix it or they will cancel my policy. Within 2 days they canceled my policy, then still attempted to retrieve funds. Their customer care is severely lacking and missing the "care" part. No one at that company cares...

Note: I had to email them 20-30 times to fight for that refund back! Then they only partially refunded me. Finally I opened a claim with my bank then they finally refunded.

I would NOT recommend. There are better plans out there for you and your beloved pet. Response to their comment below: They reimbursed me ONLY after my credit card company got involved. I got many emails that my policy was "CANCELLED" not "Suspended" :-( I don't know why they would lie about this.

All paws up for healthy paws

All paws up for healthy paws! My shih-tzu became very ill recently requiring multiple vet visits, many medicines, and 2 specialists visits. I purchased pet insurance for "worst case scenario" type situations and this was definitely one of them. Healthy paws has come through for us in a big way. They are very good with communication (via email, website, and in their easy to use app) and processed my pup's claims extremely quickly every time. Its so easy to submit a claim - you can do it on their app by taking a quick picture of the invoice from your vet, or you can upload the invoice on their website. I have seen where you can fill out a claim form as well, but we've never gone through the hassle of that when it's so easy to use the app or their website. It's been so reassuring to have this pet insurance as my pup has gone through this. Without it, I might have had to make sacrifices on her care. With it, I can give her gold standard care and know that I will be reimbursed quickly. If you're debating on getting pet insurance, DO IT and get it through Healthy Paws. If you ever have an unexpected difficult situation with your pet as I've had, you'll want Healthy Paws on your side. Thank you to the Healthy Paws team from the bottom of my heart and Violet's heart.
