Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our 2-year-old Cavachon hurt her left back leg. Unfortunately, she had to have TPLO surgery. Thankfully we have had Healthy Paws insurance coverage on her since she was a puppy. This was an unexpected injury, as well as expensive. Our policy has an annual 250.00 deductible, with an 80% reimbursement level. The surgery totaled 5364.00. After our annual 250.00 deductibles and, our 20% responsibility, we received a direct deposit reimbursement of 4041.44 from Healthy Paws within 4 days. I'm so thankful for Healthy Paws being recommended by my sister. I will always have Healthy Paws coverage on my fur babies. Healthy Paws has been so easy to submit claims, quick to send out reimbursements, and coverage was easy to understand. While my monthly premium has gone up (close to double over the almost 6 years of coverage), it has definitely been worth it! Just recently my dog needed TPLO surgery for a torn CCL, which cost nearly $6,000. We were reimbursed at 90% less than 1 week after submitting the claim, with no confusion as to what was covered and no effort beyond submitting the vet's invoice! Even with the monthly premium where it is, it would've taken 8 years to match the cost of that surgery, so it has definitely been worth it! I highly recommend them!

We are so grateful to have selected Healthy Paws when shopping for pet insurance for our puppy. He had been very healthy until he got to be a few years old and then we were faced with a diagnosis and some trips to the ER with bills that we would not have been able to pay on our own.
