Customer for Life
I've been a customer of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance & Foundation for over five years for my growing family of animals. During that time, I'd (fortunately) never encountered any situation where the support of Healthy Paws was needed.
A few weeks ago, one of my cats became very ill, very quickly, and upon arriving at the emergency veterinarian, I learned that he needed surgery to treat an intestinal blockage caused by the sudden onset of a condition called intussusception. After two surgeries and five days in the ICU, I was blessed to get my little guy back home, safe and sound, and he is currently fantastic and back to normal, making a full recovery.
I was prepared to spend whatever money necessary out of my own pocket to ensure that my little guy received the best care he possibly could, not knowing whether Healthy Paws would honor the claims I would submit. This thinking was influenced by stories I've read about other pet insurance carriers, as well as personal experiences with human health insurance carriers.
I ended up spending north of $15k on his care, which I would do again in a heartbeat. Healthy Paws honored ALL of my claims, reimbursed the maximum to which I was entitled under my particular coverage, and did this within a few days of my submission of these claims. The direct deposits cleared within 24 hours of the claims being processed. Each claim was incredibly clear about what would, and would not, be reimbursed, and there were no surprises whatsoever. When speaking on the phone with Healthy Paws representatives to answer questions I had, the team was incredibly kind, compassionate, responsive, and helpful.
I am so thankful for the support of the team at Healthy Paws Pet Insurance & Foundation during this time and the peace of mind they've given me, and the support they've provided to ensure that my animals can receive the best care possible when it is needed. I will be a customer for life.
