We are so thankful for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance ! We’ve been using them for the past 9.5 years for our Bernese Mountain Dog who will be ten in May! We credit his longevity to Healthy Paws as he’s unfortunately required multiple surgeries over the years. Healthy Paws has stood by his side each time and we are so grateful for them. We love our pup so much and we are so thankful Healthy Paws does too. Cannot recommend them enough!

I’m writing this because I wish someone had warned me sooner. My senior cat, insured for 8 years with no claims, has experienced outrageous increases in premiums over the past few years. At the rate that they are increasing premiums, I will be paying over $200 per month soon. This company clearly takes advantage of pet owners with senior pets by inflating prices to outrageous levels. I’ve seen multiple accounts of 80% price hikes once pets reach 9-10 years old—this is flat-out predatory, especially for those who’ve been paying premiums for years with the expectation that their pets would have coverage as they age. Yes, I get that insurance companies need to turn a profit, and I was prepared for some yearly increases, but this is way beyond what’s reasonable. This level of price gouging is unacceptable. I’m forced to cancel now.

I have had healthy paws insurance for my dog for 6 years now and have been very happy with it. It has been easy to submit claims, and just in the past year or so, they've updated their interface on the app so that it's even easier and faster. While I used to get claims completed in a couple days, recently it's been completed even within the same day. I like that there are options to different plans (I do wish there were more) and would be great if they covered specialist appointments, but overall, I have been pleased with it and would recommend it to any pet owner.
