Crummy Customer Service.

I just got off the phone with Healthy Paws, the pet insurance company that takes the payment every month and doesn't give a whit about claims. Paul Morrisette, whoever you are, you have not bothered to address a problem with a claim I sent in. Then when I notified you that you addressed one invoice out of the three submitted, did you get back to me. Really crummy customer service. I have never used the insurance, just paid the monthly bill for years. Then, when I do submit bills, nothing from you.

Would not recommend - they will more than double your monthly premiums

We have been with Healthy Paws since 2019. My 6 year olds monthly premium is about $67 (increasing to $87 soon). My 8 year olds monthly premium is $87 and they’re increasing it to $207. He has had very minor issues this entire time and only a few claims. This is not right and it’s not okay. We currently pay $154 a month total and it’s increasing to $300 a month total. There is absolutely no reason why my 8 year olds premium should more than double. Again, this is not right or okay. We have been customers since 2019 and I can’t believe a company would treat customers this way. EDIT - I have already sent three emails to discuss this with no response.

Too much all at once!

Our little guy developed epilepsy, then Cushing's,then dislocated his patella. A lot going of for a 12 lb Yorkie. Lots of Vet time, testing time, waiting time. And lots of bills. We were with him 24/7. The Vets and staff's uniformly were gentle, caring and nice. Med and diet adjustments: done. Inactivity (not his favorite part): done. Claims sent: done. Now he's running around as usual. A little annoyed at the new diet. Healthy Paws was on top of it. Claims paid promptly. No hassles. Cannot say enough good things about them. CG/JG

Great company to deal with

I'm just sitting here with absolute gratitude about how Healthy Paws has quickly and consistently been there for my beloved dog. Being a bit of a wild child, she has been through her share of mishaps, and unfortunately has recently suffered illness as well. Claims are always handled within a day, two at the most. The process is efficient and extremely fair - no "insurance company lag" or "pushback" has been experienced at all. I can honestly say that this policy has enabled me to keep my pet alive and with the best possible care.

Huge rate hikes, credit card surcharge, from a 55 billion dollar company? Stay away.

We've used Healthy Paws for our two dogs' insurance for many years. Their rate hikes are absolutely astounding and unbearable once you start using the insurance or you're a few years in. Today, we got a letter saying they'll add a 2.99% credit card surcharge to their rates. Considering their parent company, Chubb Limited, brought in over 55 billion dollars in revenue in 2024, they should be able to cover credit card fees. Terrible. Would not purchase again. Stay far away from these money-hungry grubs.
