Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I'm familiar with many pet insurance companies from working at vet clinics and filing claims for clients so I knew I wanted to be choosy when selecting a pet insurance company for my dog, Buster. I chose the right company! Buster already had a long health history before we signed him up with Healthy Paws and in the last year and a half they've reimbursed us for over $3,000.00 of his current medical bills, things ranging from orthopedic issues to gastrointestinal disease. Healthy Paws continues to impress me, I wish my health insurance provider was as good to me as Healthy Paws has been to Buster. My new boss is now recommending Healthy Paws to our clients, and a veterinarian friend is recommending them at her practice too!

Started my insurance in March 2013 because my friends dog got hit by a car and he got hit with a 6000.00 dollar bill. My dog Bronx is a pit bull and he can get very wound up so I was nervous and thought pet insurance would be a good idea. After having the insurance for only a few months he tore his ACL and Healthy Paws covered 90% of my bill needless to say I'm very happy Thank You Healthy Paws

I'll keep this review short, sweet and straight to what matters. I learned the hard way with my first dog and was slumped with the bill so I vowed to not make the same mistake twice. Healthy Paws was recommended by a friend so I jumped at the opportunity and it paid off. Not only is my wallet happy with the coverage refund, but I feel safe and secure knowing my dog Milo is also safe and secure with Healthy Paws. I recommend the $100 deductable at 90% coverage. You wont regret it! Healthy Paws was in constant comunication with us throughout the entire process walking us through each and every step! They even checked up on Milo after the process which I was blown away as we all know great customer service is practically extinct. Thanks again Healthy Paws!

My dog had his second ACL repair two weeks ago. Both surgeries were covered by Healthy Paws without a problem. The claim was handled and I had a check within 10 days. The people at Healthy Paws are top notch and extremely easy to deal with. You can tell that they really care. I would highly recommend!

I have been working at a veterinarian's office for 25 years but due to health issues I could no longer stay in the field. I knew with having a new puppy in the house and no longer having the great discount that I used to receive I needed pet insurance. Over the years VPI pet insurance has had the market and was the insurance that I was most familiar with while working at the hospital. I started to read other reviews here and found Healty Paws. I quickly found that they had a simple plan with little to no restrictions at a very fair price. I contacted their customer service to ask a few questions and it was at that time I knew I was going to go with them! I have had to take my new puppy in two times now for orthopedic injuries and gastrointestinal issues. Both claims went so incredibly smooth and had my reimbursement check in the mail in less than 2 weeks. The claim form is set up under your account so either your veterinarian can print it or you can and take it in for them to fill out their portion. I have the veterinarian do most of the work so basically there is little to no work to file a claim! I am extremely satisfied with all aspects of this insurance! I hope this review was helpful as the ones I read that brought me to this decision!
