Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We have three pets, all of which are insured with Healthy Paws. Whenever we submit a claim, it is always processed quickly and a reimbursement check is sent to us promptly. After learning the hard way and nearly going broke when our cat required an extended hospital stay, I am a huge advocate of pet insurance. It's such an awful experience to have to think of money when your pet needs care. Having Healthy Paws in our corner lets us focus on getting our pets the care they need. Their claim submission process is very easy too - I just upload a copy of the invoice and the vet's summary if I have it. Healthy Paws' customer service is outstanding as well. Whenever I call or email a question, I always get a prompt, courteous response. I even get notes checking up on my pets after they've submitted a claim. Recently, our puppy underwent a rather serious surgery to both forelimbs. We were so upset that he needed the surgery, but so grateful that it was covered by Healthy Paws. Honestly, every time our claims are processed for reimbursement, I literally have to hold back tears of gratitude.

Two months after bringing our Boston Terrier pup home we enrolled her with Healthy Paws, confidant that she would not need significant medical attention at such a young age, but cognizant that as she grows older medical needs are likely to crop up. About two months after enrollment she experienced a "freak accident" while running at the dog park and severely fractured her leg. After emergency treatment and orthopedic surgery, what a relief it was to know that we were covered for thousands of dollars in medical bills! Healthy Paws processed the invoices promptly and efficiently, and have given us piece of mind that our pup's continuing care for rehabilitation treatment will be covered as well. No dog owner should be without Healthy Paws!

We've never had pet insurance for our shelter adopted dogs but when we got a puppy for the first time, we researched insurance companies. Healthy Paws had by far the best policy and payments with a promise not to raise rate or drop your policy for too many claims. We never thought we would need it but bought it anyway. What a LIFSAVER! This new puppy had recurrent urinary tract infections which resulted in a reconstructive surgery. Treatment/surgery spanned 1.5 yrs with a specialist and she is now healthy and happy. Our vet bills were extremely high and with this insurance, we had no worries about expense or about getting the best and necessary care for our dog. I don't know why anyone would consider any other company; compare the policies and you will see why we are now true believers and fans of Healthy Paws Insurance.

I cannot say enough about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Our 2 year old chocolate lab just had to have major intestinal surgery because he ate a piece of a tennis ball that got stuck in his small intestine. The total cost was over $3500 and we are only paying about $550 ($250 to meet our deductible and then everything was covered at 90%). It gave us such piece of mind knowing that we could commit to having the surgery done without being worried about the cost. It was already a very stressful and emotional time, and it was great to not have to worry about the final bill. Healthy Paws processed our claim within a few days and the reimbursement checks are on their way to us already!
