Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My dog Sasha needed two surgeries on both of her knees and it was her first as well as mine to go through a process such as the one we went through recently.I have had her insured since April of last year and was able to connect with someone each and every time I called Healthy Paws for questions, claims, etc. The staff is amazing and attentive to ever detail and note that is written on her profile. I am truly thankful and grateful for people that genuinely care that my dog gets better.

Our Portuguese Water Dog Marco decided to " dine" on large pieces of tennis ball rubber which made him very sick. We took him to the VCA Animal Hospital in Hollywood and he required extensive treatment which ultimately included surgical procedure on his tummy. I am happy to report that he is on the way to recovery and that on Friday the stitches will be removed. This was high quality veterinary care which unfortunately came with a high quality vet bill, almost $ 4,000. I can't say how relieved I was when Healthy Paws reviewed the charges and approved for payment in about a week. Not only that, they actually contacted me in a genuinely caring way to find out how Marco was doing and wanted to know if we need any further assistance. Healthy Paws has easily saved us thousands since we adopted our rescue pup. We have been to countless regular vet visits, emergency vet visits (one over night stay hat cost $1500+), prescription meds, and even an opthomologist. The app is so easy to use when you need to submit a claim, the reimbursement checks are quick, and we have never had an issue getting our full reimbursement. This is easily the smartest, and best decision we made. Pet insurance is a must, and Healthy Paws has been so good to us and are so easy to work with. Highly recommend!!

After purchasing our policy a little over 3 years ago, we recently discovered that our Australian Shepherd (who is just over 6 years old) developed cataracts with a rapid onset. She was barely seeing and bumping into things within a couple of days. After being completely distraught with the situation we were so happy to learn that Healthy Paws covered this medical condition and they were unbelievably easy to deal with during the claims process. We ended up having our dog, Briggsy, go through with the cataract removal surgery. They answered any questions I had in a timely and clear manner and made forwarding both prior medical history and billing claims through email extremely easy! On top of all of that, their claims department sends you an email when processing and when it is complete so that you know exactly where you're at. Our reimbursement checks have all come to us in a VERY timely manner. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with this company and will recommend it to all my friends and family with pets to get right away!! Our pup now has her sight back; and, although still a very difficult situation to handle, having the proper insurance and support made our lives much much easier during the process.
