An awesome choice for your pet's insurance.
Chose Harville per insurance because of an email from Subaru. We all know Subaru loves pets. I've had very good experiences. The customer service is excellent and claims are super easy to submit. Glad to have them for my pet's insurance.

Best care for my baby
This is by far the best pet insurance out there! I spent weeks calling every company and to determine the actual coverage for my baby. Pekingese can be prone to multiple hereditary issues that most insurance companies will not cover. Hartsville has by far the best coverage for any issue out there. It has been the best decision that I have ever made.
The claims process is simple and the claims are paid quickly.
I also loved the fact that I was able to choose my deductible amount, percentage of repayment, and yearly Max on claims.
Love the company and the customer service is amazing, I can tell they are really concerned and involved in making sure you are able to get the best possible care for your fur baby.

Overall it was a good experience
My German Shepherd, Abby, was relatively healthy for most of her life. We had incidents here and there, but when we needed to submit a claim not once in 12 years did we have any issues with the company response.
What stands out to me the most is how they surprised me when they told me to submit a claim for euthanization and cremation when I called them to close Abby's account. I did not expect that and it was a gracious act at a hard time.
Monthly Cost
Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.
Coverage
The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%
Payout Limits
Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option.
No lifetime limits.
Deductible
$100, $250 or $500 annually.
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered.
Hartville Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment.
If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
Accident-Only coverage available.
