Figo | Pet Insurance Review

We lost a pet to cancer and when the time came to get another dog we decided to investigate pet insurance. I read hundreds of reviews and read the policies word for word. FIGO offered the best coverage out there, at any price. I also love their text customer service because I can't always call in when I'm at work. I signed my 1 year old and then 3 mo old English Bulldogs up with FIGO. Two weeks ago my now 5mo, Otis started throwing up after visiting dog daycare. Then he got a fever--long story short he had aspirated some vomit and contracted pneumonia on Easter Sunday! He ended up going to the emergency vet and then needing to have an IV and around the clock care for an additional 24 hours. His total care was about $2,000! We chose to have a $200 deductible and 10% co-pay. I was really nervous after I submitted our bills because I had remembered all of those awful reviews (of other pet insurance companies). My concern was for nothing because FIGO is awesome. They sent Otis a get well card and about 8 days after I had uploaded the bills to my pet cloud (no claim forms or anything), Lauren called me personally to tell me everything was processed. One less thing to worry about. :)

The customer service at Figo Pet Insurance is excellent and claims are very easy to file, as opposed to a previous insurance for a different pet. The customer service people respond quickly and are very thorough in explaining benefits and claims procedures.

My claim was submitted, a day or so later, I received an email saying my claim was being processed and then 2 days later, I received another email stating the claim was taken care of! And THEN I received a get well card in the mail to check on my pup! Very Classy! So refreshing from previous pet insurance companies! Even better then human health insurance companies lol! Thanks Figo! Really took the worry out of a very upsetting and stressful situation!

The customer service has been great - and they make it super easy to manage your policy online or by mobile, and many ways to contact them and get a quick response that doesn't include stopping what you are doing to sit on hold!

Figo is a very personal company that makes you feel like family. I would recommend them to anyone looking for pet insurance that want all of the perks at one of the lowest prices with no hidden terms that dont allow some medical coverages like some of the other pet insurance companies
