Fast reimbursement and great customer service!

My 10 month old shepherd mix started limping and after 6 weeks of rest she was worse. Orthopedic vet confirmed my fear. Bilateral hip dysplasia. But it gets better. Bilateral elbow dysplasia also. Figo pre certified that both conditions were not pre existing and covered her bilateral elbow surgery. The processed the claim with in two days and paid me with if the week. They also covered her PT and medications with no problem. Great customer service and payment processing, I highly recommend that with any insurance that you take your dog for a physical where they state that the fog is healthy and make mention on no issues with ....be certain to mention every joint is healthy. Many insurances denies joint issues for dogs under 2 years old unless you do this within the first 30 days of coverage.

Figo is absolutely the best!

We lost one of our golden retrievers at 10 years old from lymphoma cancer. After she passed I immediately purchased insurance for our other 10 year old from Figo. Within 10 months time, she ended up having a cancerous tumor in her stomach. With all of the bills from our local vet, the emergency vet and the university surgery department our bills were a whopping $18,000. Figo paid them with in 5 days of submitting them. When I called them to say she passed away they even sent me a hand signed card. I would never have another insurance company, Figo is the best!!

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
