Best.Decison.Ever.

This was the best decision I made when caring for my pets. The claims process is super easy and reimbursement lightening fast. 100% worth the peace of mind. I learned the hard way with former pets so made the decision to carry pet insurance right out of the gate this time. I rescued two cats recently - one a kitten and one an adult cat. Surprisingly the kitten is the one with the constant issues and recently diagnosed with IBD. We had to run her through a battery of tests. This would have cost me thousands out of pocket which I would have done because I love these freakin’ cats. A claim has never been denied, I am able to care for my babies without catastrophic financial concerns - I couldn’t be happier!

Don’t waste your money

I don't know what I'm paying for every month. I don't even know what I am insured for. Even new illnesses are not covered by insurance because of some unexplainable excuse. I was thinking of changing to another insurance company, but I thought it would be the same in other countries, so I didn't change my mind.

No Reponse

I submitted online a claim 4 days ago but there was no response from them. I went online into my account to check my claim status and it still just has the automated generated "in review" arrow ever since I uploaded the documents. However, my uploaded documents were in an unread status. It just felt there was no one there. I will have to call them tomorrow. Will give an update then.

Monthly Cost

$9 to $135 on average depending on chosen plan.

Coverage

You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% after your deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000 or unlimited depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,500 annually. Deductibles offered depend on pet’s age and location.

Age Limits

Must be 8 weeks or older to enroll. No upper age limits apply.

Waiting Period

1-day for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, 6 months for hip dysplasia and orthopedic conditions. (Both hip dysplasia and orthopedic condition waiting periods can be waived by having exam/waiver form completed by veterinarian)

Exclusions

Curable pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage if symptom free for 12 months Conditions arising from a repetitive and specific activity, eg. Ingestion foreign object, ear infection caused by water, snake bites, etc. – excluded after 3 occurrences We now have a wellness option We have a diminishing deductible Copay & deductible waived for emergency life-saving treatment (in the case of an accident, not illness)
