Poor customer support - has phone number been hacked?
Original policy was issued 12/20/2022 and automatically renewed on 12/20/2023.
My dog had tooth extraction on 12/20/2023. Claim denied on 1/9/2024 based on tooth extraction was within waiting period.
However, waiting period only applies to original policy not renewal policies, Policy definitions #43 and Benefits section #5.
Appeal promptly on 1/10/2024. Received only computer generated receipt stating I would be contacted. As of 1/18/2024, no response and no status indication in Pet Cloud.
Called customer number simply to make sure the Appeal had been received. Customer support wanted all my credit card info including 16 digit number and date of expiration - THIS WAS NOT A BILLING ISSUE AND THIS WAS NOT THE ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT. FIGO automatically bills my credit card every month with no issues.
I declined giving such personal credit card identification to some customer support person who had absolutely no need for it simply to find out if my Appeal had been docketed.
