Fetch | Pet Insurance Review

I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay for pet insurance and which pet insurance to use since there are so many out there. We ended up having to put our last dog down because we couldn't afford the medical expenses and did not have insurance. With our new puppy I did not want to run into another situation like this. I decided to try out Fetch pet insurance after much research and due to their customization of what I wanted and the price. After our puppy broke his knee cap we found that he was going to need surgery, which wasn't going to be cheap. I decided to try and input a claim to see how it went and if it didn't go well I was just going to cancel the service. The process to submit the claim was super easy and hassle free. Fetch reviewed the claim and after a couple of weeks they deposited the money into my bank account based off my percentage and deductible. All that being said, I am very happy that I chose to get medical insurance for my puppy and am happy that I chose Fetch pet insurance. The process to set up, choose what I wanted, make a claim, and getting paid out was all wonderful, hassle free, and very easy. For me the service has already paid for itself and is worth my current monthly premium.

Fetch insurance has been thorough with all my submissions. This insurance is worth every penny as the cost of medical appointments and medicine for Bentley was expensive.

For the first month and claim everything went perfect. After this my dogs faced an unexpected bout of diarrhea and went to urgent care. Even after receiving all of the records themselves from the urgent care clinic they're still insisting they're missing documents. I started this claim in April. It's June now, they put the claim on hold. I have cancelled my policies for two pets as this is an absurd timeline and after calling and receiving the entirety of the records themselves there's no reason this claim could not be completed. You’re certainly better off putting money into a high yield savings account and pulling from that to pay for your pet expenses.

My pet insurance just went from $91 a month, to $191 a month, no explanation, just a notice of renewal. We had no claim last year so I'm not even sure why. Also when you do need to submit a claim, they make it soooo hard. I have another insurance for my other pet (why did I listen to the vet and used Fetch!!) , where I just submit a picture of the receipts and done. With Fetch you need to ask for the notes, submit, takes for ever... I will never ever sign up for Fetch again. I'm also warning all my friends.
