We are so relieved and grateful we decided to purchase policies for our two cats and two puppies. One of our puppies had an emergency event at the beginning of the year and went into anaphylactic shock after she ate a bee. Her treatment required almost 72 hours of dedicated care in an ER Pet Hospital. The policy helped to cover a good portion of the cost of her care. We’re very grateful and happy she is still with us and that the policy we purchased protected us after this unforeseen emergency.
Customer service is always great, quick to answer, always friendly, short to no worth times, Karley was able to get out new pet added quickly and easily.
My pet insurance claim was handled promptly and professionally. I am very satisfied with the ease of filing a claim on the app and Fetch’s ability to process it accurately and quickly.
What an absolute joke this Insurance company is. After purchasing insurance for my, just turned 2 year old fur baby.... I submitted a claim for a visit to the vet for his anal gland issues.... Fetch came back via email and had this ridiculous lengthy bullshit email about all the so-called pre-existing issues they claim my previous vet had notified them about?? Which, is all nonsense.
Here's the email from Fetch.
Maui's pre-existing conditions
Based on the vet notes, here's what Maui's plan doesn't cover:
Condition: Behavioural Cover Not Active
First noted: 02 April 2025
Vet's notes: We can see that Maui was assessed on 02 Apr 25 for anxiety. The vet noted that Maui is a very anxious dog, particularly when leaving the house, and discussed a referral to a trainer or behaviourist. As this behavioural concern was present before cover started, it means Maui's behaviour cover isn't active.
Condition: Ear Infections and Skin Allergies
First noted: 05 February 2025
Vet's notes: We can see Maui visited the vet for ear problems on 05 Feb 25 and was diagnosed with bilateral malassezia otitis externa (yeast infection both ears). He returned on 02 Apr 25 for another ear infection, and was also noted to be licking at his feet constantly. The vet started Maui on Apoquel for allergies on 23 Apr 25. These repeated visits for ear infections and the allergic signs suggest an ongoing issue, most likely allergic skin disease leading to recurrent ear infections. As the first signs appeared before Maui's cover started on 22 Oct 25, this condition is considered pre-existing and won't be covered under Maui's plan. This includes any future episodes of ear infections, skin allergies, itching, or related conditions such as skin infections if they are linked to the underlying allergies. Other causes of ear infections and skin disease such as a grass seed in ear or between toes, would still be covered under his plan.
Linked conditions: Middle Ear Infections, Ear Haematoma, Allergic Skin Disease
Condition: Anal Gland Issues
First noted: 24 August 2023
Vet's notes: We can see Maui has visited the vet multiple times for anal gland expressions, starting from 24 Aug 23 and continuing through 29 Jul 25 before their plan started on 22 Oct 25. The records show recurring issues with full or impacted anal glands requiring regular manual expression. The frequency and pattern of these visits indicate an ongoing issue with anal gland function, rather than isolated, unrelated incidents. As the first signs appeared before Maui's cover started, this condition is considered pre-existing and won't be covered under Maui's plan. This includes any future anal gland expressions, related complications such as anal gland abscesses or infections, and any treatment or diagnostics related to this ongoing condition.
Condition: Dental Cover Not Active
First noted: 05 February 2025
Vet's notes: We can see Maui had tartar noted on his teeth (05 Feb 25) and currently has grade 2 dental disease. This grade of dental disease relates to a number of changes to the teeth and their supporting structures, which means that dental cover is not active. If you think this grading is inaccurate or we’ve got something wrong, please let us know. We can still cover treatment for other issues which affect the mouth, like oral tumours or traumatic events (such as a stick injury to the mouth).
Just so you're aware, Fetch's dental cover (when active) does not cover dental health checks and any routine dental care, for example: Descale and polish Prophylaxis X-rays to assess dental health Toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouthwash
✅ Based on the vet notes shared with us, everything else is covered. You still have 24/7 access to our pet health line for help with these conditions.
Maui, my fur baby, has never had any serious dental issues as Fetch claim, in fact, very minor (at the time) nor any hip problems, or skin allergies... I can see that the email FETCH has sent me, has been seriously modified from my previous vets notes.
You should be ashamed of yourselves!! You claim to car about dogs, but rip people off, to only come back months later and say your dog is basically not covered for anything!
DO NOT BOTHER WITH FETCH!!! unless your want to be let down, disappointed and totally annoyed - I am looking further into this company with my solicitor as to the claims , they CLAIM my 2 year old, has had or has. I have nothing but the worst experience with FETCH.
