Not Useful

I got fetch insurance last year for my cat, after an accident he had (vomiting and diarrhea - which he did a through examination and nothing was found. He also did some precautionary treatment) A year later, again he has some vomiting and diarrhea (since basically that’s the main starting issue with the cats) and the insurance does not cover it since it’s a continuous issue. If no disease were found and all precautionary treatment were done, how this can be a continuous issue? Seems like for any issue with the same symptoms, my cat won’t be covered! Cause it’s a continuous issue.

Fetch is just greedy!!!

Fetch is a greedy pet insurance company that tries to take advantage of pet owners trying to avoid vet fees for unexpected accidents or catastrophes. I have just cancelled my insurance policy after another unreasonable premium rate hike; 45% this year on top of a 20% increase last year. One claim in four years with the company for a meagre reimbursement of $117 CAD. They give various justifications for the hikes: location, age of pet, increasing vet costs. This is BS! I haven't moved, my dog is not old, and the vet fees don't change all that much to justify this level of insurance premium increases. Horrible company!

If you ever make a claim, expect to pay much much more.

We've been a client for two years. We made our first claim this past year for a transient gastro issue that was cleared up by some antibiotics, and while the payout took some time, we were satisfied. However! When our policy came up for renewal this year, the premium was jacked up by $181 - a 54% increase. We feel that we've been suckered by a bait-and-switch. We're incredibly unhappy and don't feel inclined to trust them anymore. Edit: In response to Fetch Pet's comments: You keep pasting in the same response to all of your clients here who are being hit with huge increases. A 7-year-old healthy indoor cat is not a risky bet, and your customer service rep on the phone's response was essentially "*shrug* that's how insurance works". This despite the fact that your website explicitly states that rates do not go up after a claim. We are still weighing whether to keep Pippin with you, as I have no reason to believe that you are not going to jack the price up again next year, but you can be sure we no longer trust you enough to enrol our new kitten.
